C1770 American built flintlock musket, utilizing Dutch-Germanic parts, including lock and numbered barrel. Metal parts have medium to dark patina overall with some pitting in the barrel breech. Triggerguard has a small crack at one of the screw holes and is not pinned at the front. Stocked in American curly maple, wood shows evidence of having been lightly cleaned, with a small piece replaced at the toe of the butt, small chips from recoil at rear of barrel tang, and some minor slivers missing from the forearm edges. Has a crack by the rear lock screw, but is otherwise sound and free of cracks. One butt plate screw was relocated due to the piece that was missing. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
