Remington Maynard conversion percussion musket. Dated 1856 at back of lock and 1857 on barrel. Bold stock proofs reveal that this was a Harpers Ferry musket in its original configuration. Metal parts have a untouched dark brown patina overall. Stock has an evenly worn appearance with minor scattered marks, a crack/chip in the lock mortise behind the hammer and small slivers missing left and right of barrel tang. Mechanically good, including Maynard primer parts. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
