M1808 Sutton contract musket dated 1812 on lock. 44-5/8" barrel. Reconverted to flintlock, metal parts are good, partly cleaned to a light gray with some pitting in the barrel breech area. Stock is good, showing average wear and use overall, having average wear and use overall, piece of wood expertly replaced above the rear of the lock, small hairline crack at the rear lock bolt, and some minor nicks to the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
