Interesting flintlock musket/fowler utilizing an American proofed musket barrel, probably a barrel that passed proof but failed final inspection. 41-3/8" round barrel. Imported flint lock with marking that is hard to read. Iron part have a medium patina overall with some pitting in the barrel breech area. Brass parts were cleaned at some point to a light yellow. Stock may be of cherry, with a rich patina overall, showing scattered minor marks from handling overall, several light hairline cracks in the right side of the forearm and a sliver missing from long ago in the left side of the forearm edge. Very attractive gun overall. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
