M1863 US Bridesburg contract musket, has "IN" marking opposite lock associated with the Irish Nationalist/Fenian Brotherhood movement. Original length musket with a medium patina on metal parts overall that are slightly granular and have some pitting in the barrel breech area. Upper sling swivel and rear sight 300- and 500-yard leaves are absent. Stock has been lightly sanded and presents a light appearance with some minor scattered handling marks and minor chipping to the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
