Burnside 5th Model percussion breechloading carbine. Serial number 22429. Well-marked, metal parts have a pleasing medium brown patina overall with some pitting present on lever and buttplate. Stock shows average wear and use with scattered light to moderate handling marks, name "SOTO" in small letters on right side of butt, and a few minor "flea bites" to edges of forearm. Lock functions at full cock, but does not hold at half cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
