Parker Field Grade hammer double barrel twist shotgun. Serial number 55483. 27-5/8" barrel, 10 gauge. Marked on top of barrel "PARKER BROS MAKERS. MERIDEN CONN. TWIST." and "PARKER BROS" on each lock. Metal parts have a medium gray patina with fine twist pattern on barrels. Right barrel has a small ding near the muzzle, left barrel has a more significant ding about halfway down that can be seen inside the bore. Stocks, pistol grip cap and buttplate are well worn, with most of the checkering worn away from the wrist and forearm. Wood shows expected light to moderate handling marks and a little minor chipping at the rear of the forearm. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
