Forehand Arms Co., Worcester, Mass hammerless double barrel shotgun. Serial number 1723. 30" barrels, 12 gauge. Metal parts have a mottled gray patina with some scattered pitting. Attractive standard engraving. Stocks may have been lightly refinished, cracked in the wrist with a attempted old repair of two pegs in the right side of the wrist, and with the buttstock being loose to the frame. Nice original pistol grip cap. Buttplate with pheasant vignette cracked at the lower screw and possibly repaired with a piece from a different buttplate. Appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
