Swiss M1878 Vetterli rifle. Serial number 202861. Metal parts have very fine original blue finish overall with a couple small pits on the receiver and some cleaned rust on the barrel muzzle. Stocks are fine, with nice deeply sunken proofs, showing wear from use and minor handling marks. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
