Swiss M1871 Vetterli rifle. Serial number 93056. Original 33" barrel, stock is shortened to just in front of the lower barrel band. Metal parts are a mix of patina, original blue finish, and oil, with some scattered light rust. Lower sling swivel and plate removed. Nice original rear sight. Fine cartouche in heel of stock. Stock shows numerous minor marks from handling with an untouched appearance like the metal. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
