C1840 percussion fullstock "over the log" heavy barrel target rifle. Lock marked "STILLWELL WARRANTED". 28" long 1-9/16" octagon barrel of .56 caliber bore with script initials interrupted by rear sight. Additional sight mortise in front of rear sight. Barrel tang has provision for a tang sight. Brass parts have a light patina, steel parts have a chocolate patina with erosion present in the bolster area. Stock has original grain painting to simulate curly maple, wood has an evenly worn appearance overall with a tiny crack to left of barrel tang and a couple worn nicks by some of the attachment pins. Mechanically good with set triggers, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
