German M1871/84 Mauser bolt action rifle. Serial number 88676, appears to be all matching. Amberg arsenal marked, Crown-L marked for Ludwig of Bavaria, buttplate unit marked to a recruiting depot. Metal parts have fine original blue finish with light patina on the receiver. Stock is very good with strong sunken proofs, showing a few light handling bruises, free of cracks and chips. Stacking rod was removed from magazine cap, cross link for upper band absent, sling swivels are replaced with incorrect ones. Appears to be mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
