Harpers Ferry M1803 percussion conversion US rifle, dated 1819 on lock. 36" part round, part octagon barrel. Strong markings at rear of lock, eagle at front is worn but visible, good barrel proofs, and "V" proof in stock opposite lock. Interesting blacksmith conversion to percussion with uniquely shaped hammer. Untouched patina on metal parts with some pitting present in barrel breech. Patchbox latch is absent. Stock is well-worn, having a piece of wood missing above the lock front and rear, small crack in front of lock, small crack in front of triggerguard, and diagonal crack on left side of forearm through barrel key area. Hammer cocks fully, but half cock notch is worn. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
