German M1871/84 Mauser rifle. Amberg arsenal marked. Serial number 1554 matching on all parts we have observed a number on. This rifle shows little, if any, actual use, but bright parts suffered from rust in storage and show patches of rusty pitting. Blued parts are magnificent with minimal minor spots that witnessed light rust. Stock has original deeply sunken proofs, free of cracks and chips, showing some minor handling marks and a couple dings from storage. Appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
