Smith & Wesson 38 caliber First Model "Baby Russian" revolver. Serial number 14456 3-1/4" ribbed round barrel with S&W marking on rib. Metal parts have about 30% bright original blue finish present with scratches from handling mixing with a medium patina and initials on the right side of the frame. Interesting period modified "shootist" sight. Wood grips are good, showing even wear and use with minor handling marks, free of cracks and chips. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
