Manhattan Series III percussion 36 caliber "Navy" revolver. Serial number 23578. Marked on top of barrel "MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO. NEWARK N.J." 5" barrel. Cylinder scene has wonderful, fully visible roll engraved vignettes. Some muted case colors are visible on the frame and plumb patina on other parts with some small spots of protected blue on the barrel. Grips are fine with virtually all of the original varnish showing only a few minor scratches from handling, free of cracks, chips, and major wear. Overall a very crisp gun. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
