C1780-1800 Henry Nock percussion conversion pistol. Marked on lock in gold cartouche "H.NOCK" and similarly "LONDON" on barrel breech. Beautiful quality gun typical of Nock with large silver engraved escutcheon in flat butt, silver escutcheon in wrist, and gold bands in barrel breech. One barrel key escutcheon replaced. Furnishings are nicely engraved. Ramrod is absent. Metal parts have a dark patina overall. Stock was cracked and repaired in the forearm with a small piece of replaced wood, wrist was cracked and repaired long ago with a square-headed nail. Nicely checkered grip. Mechanically good, but mainspring isn't particularly strong. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
