Allen & Thurber transitional Worcester-Norwich percussion pepperbox. Marked on one barrel flat "ALLEN & THURBER WORCESTER" and "PATENTED 1837 CAST STEEL" and "ALLENS PATENT" on hammer. Metal parts have a mostly dark patina with some scattered pitting. Wood grips have an added finish but appear free of cracks and chips with some minor dings. Comes with an older tag of indeterminate age that is hard to read. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
