C1750 flintlock Mediterranean pistol. A good quality copy of a European long barreled horsepistol of the period. 13-1/2" barrel with flared muzzle. About 21" overall. Iron mounted except for diamond shaped escutcheon in grip. Sideplate is missing the forward portion. Stock has simple carvings and is very good overall with a crack in the lock mortise/wrist area, a crack in the left side of the forearm near the muzzle, and a smaller crack by the front lock screw. Hammer appears to hold and release from the half cock position, and does not hold at the full cock position. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
