Colt M1851 Navy revolver. Serial number 108219 present matching on lever, cylinder, barrel, frame, and triggerguard. 4-7/8" octagon barrel with marking "ESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U S AMERICA" partly obscured. Metal parts were polished with some rust forming in spots. Grip engraved with owner name on left side looks like "MICKEY.C" and appears to be the same at base of right side of grip. Wood shows moderate wear and use with corner chips missing at rear of each side and numerous dents in the butt from misuse as a hammer. Hammer cocks, but cylinder does not revolve. Housed in a Civil War period holster in heavily worn condition. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
