Williamson patent .41 rimfire or percussion single shot derringer. 2-1/2" barrel, about 5-1/2" overall. Standard patent marking on left side of barrel and engraving on metal parts. Barrel is mostly a light to medium gray patina with some traces of nickel finish. Brass has a pleasing light to medium patina. Stock shows light wear and use, for whatever reason, perhaps the practice of carrying in a pocket, these stocks are often badly battered and commonly broken in the wrist. This stock shows nice original edges and checkering, a light hairline in the wrist, and a couple minor cracks/slivers next to the triggerguard by the barrel release. Contains the percussion adapter cup that is thought to be a reproduction. Hammer has weak spring tension and doesn't always stay cocked. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
