C1750 Dutch-Germanic percussion conversion musket for restoration. Barrel restored to 43" length, was previously converted to percussion with the drum and nipple system, the drum hole has been plugged for reconversion. Barrel has a proof at the breech and is engraved "No 39". Metal parts have a light pitting to iron parts and dark patina on brass. Butt was altered and cut off shorter. Stock has the classic carving of its type and escutcheon in wrist. The gun comes with a buttstock of similar style to be used for restoration that has the buttplate present with marks on tang and worn through at heel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
