1836 dated Massachusetts militia musket. Reconverted to flintlock. 38-1/2" round barrel with proofs and date at breech. Metal parts have a medium to dark patina overall with some pitting in the barrel breech area. Stock is good, has several light cracks and a diagonal piece of wood missing from in front of the lock. Wooden ramrod is broken off at the upper pipe. Functions mechanically but with weak main spring. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
