US M1861 musket by Savage. Dated 1863 on lock. Untouched metal parts overall with rich chocolate patina and some pitting in the barrel breech area. Stock has an equally untouched look with a built-up oil patina from years of handling. Has initials EAP present opposite lock with good cartouche present. Stock is free of cracks, but has numerous minor handling marks from years of use, including some minor chips, primarily in the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
