Harpers Ferry M1842 percussion musket. Dated 1851 on lock and barrel. Well marked overall, including barrel date. Metal parts are cleaned with some scattered light pitting. Stock is well cartouched, showing a small crack by the rear lock bolt, missing piece of wood from lower lock mortise, and some minor slivers to the ramrod channel. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
