Hilliard, Cornish, New Hampshire single barrel percussion shotgun. Marked on top of barrel "D.H.HILLIARD/CORNISH/N.H./NO.1507." Iron mounted with german silver appointments and pewter nose cap. Interestingly built in the style of a rifle with the pewter nose cap, cheekrest in butt, and rifle buttplate. One barrel key escutcheon is absent and the barrel key is a replacement. Ramrod pipes are not present. Ramrod appears to be original. Iron parts are a light to medium gray with some minimal pitting in the nipple area. Stock is free of cracks and chips, with an attractive appearance showing light marks from wear. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
