Unusual American made single barrel cartridge shotgun by William Lawrence, Laconia, NH, marked on the barrel. Unusually fancy grade gun that we don't recall having seen before. 32" barrel, possibly 12 gauge. Serial number 560. Unusual design with lifting lever barrel release and extractor located at the 5 o'clock position. Metal parts have attractive border and scroll engraving, with a medium patina overall. Nice damascus barrel with octagon breech, transitioning to 16-sided with wedding band separator to round portion. Triggerguard has brazed repair. Stock shows average wear and use with scattered worn handling marks, has a few chips near the frame, and a crack in the wrist that shows a little play. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
