Fancy muzzleloading percussion shotgun by well-known Philadelphia gunsmith Andrew Wurfflein. 30" barrels of average bore size. Has fancy engraving on metal parts, locks engraved in riband "A.WURFFLEIN" on right and "PHILADELPHIA". Metal parts have dark patina overall with light granular pitting on barrels. Marking on barrel rib "A.WURFFLEIN PHILA LAMINATED STEEL" partly obscured by light pitting. Stock good, has attractive grain, worn from use, missing a piece below right lock. Lower ramrod pip replaced. Right lock mechanically good, left lock has no spring tension on hammer. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
