Very fancy secondary Confederate double barrel shotgun by Webley, imported by Hyman of Richmond. Marked on locks "JAMES WEBLEY. LONDON." and on barrel "IMPORTED BY HENRY HYMAN 96 MAIN ST RICHMOND VA". 32" barrels. About 10ga bore. Metal parts are beautifully engraved with fancy patterns, dog, birds, and rabbits. Metal parts show average wear and use and are cleaned with a brown patina on the barrels reflecting their twist pattern. Wonderful handmade hickory ramrod with hand carved cleaning jag on end. Stock has a well-worn patina overall with checkering on wrist and forearm. A little of the original varnished finish is still present, primarily on the buttstock, small replaced chip in toe of butt, small sliver missing below right lock, and some minor chipping to the edges. Locks function, but right lock seems to release from half cock while not cocking at the full position. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
