"RICKARD", as marked on locks, double barrel damascus shotgun. 30-1/4" barrels with wave-patterned rib, fluted breech sections with similar wave-pattern on each side. Marked on rib "BELGIUM FINE DAMASCUS FINISH". Metal parts have attractive rich uncleaned patina. Stock is carved and checkered in the forearm and wrist, behind pistol grip is a wonderfully carved stag head with glass eyes. Stocks show light wear and handling with attractive surfaces, has a diagonal crack below the rear of the right lock. This is easily the highest quality and best condition of these carved Belgian shotguns we have had. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
