Very early Parker Brothers "under lifter" double barrel shotgun. Serial number 6477. 32" barrels, 10 gauge. Marked on locks "PARKER BROS" and on barrel rib "PARKER BROS MAKERS MERIDEN CONN STUB TWIST". Metal parts have a worn and patinated appearance overall with a ding in the left barrel 7" back from the muzzle, and a ding in the right barrel 15" back from the muzzle. Interestingly, there is also a period added sighting bead in the rib 14" back from the muzzle. Plain stocks are good, showing average wear from use with scattered minor marks from handling, and a few minor worn "flea bites" to the forearm edge. Hard rubber buttplate has the design mostly worn away and is cracked with added screw and nail to hold it on. Right firing pin is broken off, otherwise mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
