Marlin M1889 .38-40 rifle - SOLD

SOLD - First year of manufacture Marlin Model 1889 lever action rifle. Serial number 28122. 24" octagon barrel marked for 38 W caliber (.38-40 WCF). Metal parts have medium to dark patina overall with some scattered spots of very light pitting. All screws appear original with some showing wear from screwdriver use. Stock shows expected light marks from use and handling, wear to the finish particularly on the wrist and forearm, has a small lateral hairline crack by the nose cap on right side, and a small diagonal hairline crack to left of upper frame tang. Appears to be mechanically good. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
