C1820-40 curly maple fullstock rifle. 37" octagon barrel of about .42 caliber bore. Unusually fancy "KETLAND & Co" marked lock with flashpan and frizzen with matching engraving. Hammer neck is restored with replacement top jaw and screw. Gun overall has nice patina and a smooth appearance overall. Original open sights. Stock is lightly refinished, having a small crack in front of the lock, and a couple cracks in the forearm edge that show some extra glue. Barrel has added "MEMPHIS" and "MA" markings. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
