Large handmade percussion holster pistol. 10-1/2" barrel of .69 caliber bore, about 18" overall. Utilizes a Third Model British Brown Bess lock and a fancy early triggerguard. All metal parts painted black, showing scattered pitting. Hammer is reminiscent of a Bedford County, PA lock. Stock is plainly made, was sanded smooth with an added finish, shows a small crack by the lock bolt, and two age cracks behind the lock. Mechanically functional except trigger releases hammer from half cock. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
