Brass frame flintlock boxlock pistol by Theophilus Richards of London, father of William Westley Richards, founder of the illustrious Westley Richards firm. Marked on left side of frame "THEOP/RICHARDS". 1-5/8" round iron barrel that still turns off the frame, about .50 caliber bore, about 6-1/4" overall. Brass was cleaned at some point with with some minor dings from handling. Top jaw and screw are good looking replacements, sliding safety is absent its projecting teat that engages the flashgun fence. Flat wood grip is good, free of cracks, showing average wear and use with minor handling dings. Mechanically good except does not seem to have half cock, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
