L.W.Pond, Worcester, Massachusetts 32 rimfire caliber belt model 4" barrel revolver. Serial number 516. This model was ultimate the subject of a successful patent infringement lawsuit by Smith & Wesson which halted production. Marked on top of barrel "L.W.POND WORCESTER MASS" and on barrel flat below it on left "PATD JULY 10 1860". Metal parts have been cleaned with light to moderate pitting overall. Screw-in extractor in butt is absent. Wood grips are good, showing some dings on the butt, a couple minor corner nicks, and a light scrape on the left. Hammer has spring tension but does not cock, cylinder does not revolve. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
