Plant patent front-loading "Army" revolver. Serial number 8994. 42 caliber. 4-3/4" ribbed octagon barrel marked "MERWIN & BRAY NEW YORK". Barrel and cylinder have a medium gray patina with some dings on the cylinder. Frame has excellent original shiny nickel finish. Wood grips are very good, showing average wear and use overall, with a small sliver along the backstrap on the left side. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
