Revolutionary war period percussion conversion musket. 45-1/2" round barrel of about .75 caliber. British proofed near barrel breech, otherwise appears unmarked. Metal parts have medium to dark patina overall with some rust on the barrel and pitting in the barrel breech and lock plate. British style wrist escutcheon, trigger guard and side plate. American buttplate and ramrod pipes. Two holes in toe of butt filled with old bullets. Stock is fair, long sliver missing from left forearm edge, extensive cracking to the forearm, reattached flake of wood between hammer and barrel tang, and some chipping to the lock mortise. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
