Belgian made French M1842 percussion rifled musket. Liege maker mark on lock and ELG* proof on barrel. Overall better than average condition with minimal scattered pitting on iron parts and a pleasing medium patina. Stock is very good, showing little use, with a sharply struck serial number in the left side of the butt, shows some chipping in the ramrod channel, around the lower band, and in front of the lock. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
