English percussion militia musket. Has attributes of a New Land pattern and the 1839 pattern. Serial numbered 2208 on lock, barrel, stock, and several screws. Metal parts have a dark patina overall with some minimal scattered pitting, mostly in the barrel breech area. Barrel tang is chipped off at the screw. Stock is very good showing average wear and use, with a chip in the right forearm edge, a crack by the lock screw and in toe of butt. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
