C1860 single barrel percussion fowler made with Austrian musket parts. Austrian eagle visible on rear of lock, 34-3/8" long barrel of about .57 caliber bore that appears to be Austrian, as is the brass triggerguard. Trade sporting buttplate, poured pewter forearm cap, soldered iron barrel band, and fish-shaped engraved inlay in left side of forearm, right side missing. Iron under rib on barrel with missing ramrod pipes. Metal parts have medium to dark patina overall with some light pitting on the barrel and lock. Stock may be Austrian issue, altered to half stock, showing moderate to extensive use with numerous handling marks, several light cracks in the forearm, and a piece of wood replaced in the butt toe. Lock does not have half cock, but cocks fully. Sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
