C1780-1820 percussion conversion fowling piece, marked "I.WALKER" on lock. Early 42" long barrel with proofs at breech and small blade front sight. Round barrel with hexagonal breech portion and two simple steps down in the round portion. Barrel and lock have a dark patina, brass parts are plain and show evidence of cleaning. Nice old handmade ramrod with ball puller on one end and a notch cut in the other end to hold a patch. Full stock is in good condition, showing even wear and use, exhibits an area behind the hammer with wood burned away from many years of powder flash, a crack at the tip of the forearm, and a couple chips at the furniture pins. Mechanically good, sold as a collector item only, not warranted safe to shoot.
